How we make money
Parity is free for merchants — the reviews, the fee tables, the comparisons, and the rate report. Here is exactly where our revenue comes from and what it can never touch.
Referral fees when you switch
When a merchant decides to switch providers after using Parity, we may earn a referral fee from the provider they choose. That is the business model: we only do well when we help you find a genuinely better deal.
What money can never buy here
Referral relationships have no influence on the Parity Score, on rankings, on fact-check verdicts, or on what a review says. Providers cannot pay to be reviewed, to improve a score, or to remove a finding. Reviews are produced by a pipeline that never sees commercial relationships — the scoring inputs are pricing data, merchant statements, and third-party ratings, documented in our methodology.
The proof is in the pages
Our highest-rated providers include companies that pay us nothing. Our reviews publish the numbers that referral-driven sites leave out — penalty fees, observed effective rates above the advertised rate, complaint volumes. If a recommendation ever looked inconsistent with our own data, the data wins; that standard is codified in our editorial policy.
What we never sell
We never sell merchant data. Statements uploaded for a rate report are used to produce that report and anonymized, aggregated benchmarks — never shared with or sold to providers, and never used to market to you.
